LOVE SAYS BLOOM

This exhibition, curated by Nuala O'Connor, delves into the emotional core of the Joyce family dynamics. Centered around the intimate connections James Joyce shared with his family members – his wife Nora, daughter Lucia, son Giorgio, and grandson Stephen – this installation offers a dynamic and evocative portrayal of the Joyce family history. Through a blend of imagery, film clips, spoken word, and music, visitors will embark on a journey through the rich tapestry of the Joyce family's relationships and experiences.
Collaborating closely with the curatorial team, we endeavored to encapsulate various performances that depicted moments in the history of the Joyce family. These were included in an experimental film, that would serve as the focal point of the exhibition. This collaborative effort involved the participation of artists such as Lisa O'Neil, Ian Lynch, Julia Spanu, Aoife McAtamney, John Gunn, and Mella Travers, each contributing their unique perspectives to the project.
